I was bored, i was thinking about some cheesy B-roll action movie i saw the other day that had characters breaking into a hydroelectric dam and going down this awesome stairwell. So i built it, sortof. The one in the movie is much cleaner and well lit, but i dont like either of those.

No real suggestions for it except maybe there should be something holding up the handrail, it looks like its floating in midair %|
Nice image man, thats cool, i like the lighting. One suggestion is maybe you could add a bump map to the wall, it has a good texture but its a little flat.
It is bumpmapped. Ive used that texture before and for some reason it never bumpmaps well.
One think bugs me a little. On the mesh metal walkway square corner piece (bottom middle of pic), the mesh seems just to go into the wall. Looks like (at least to me) that it wouldn’t hold up. Other than that, good pic.

Wow Enos this has a superb mood about it, makes me think that something sinister lurks at the bottom. As usual your modeling is excellent.
Perhaps with the main lighting, not the light from the square lamps we can see but which ever lamps you have above the scene, you could turn one spot to a halo. Just to give a further sense of atmosphere within the scene. (Forgive me if you have already tried this and have decided against it.)

Nice work as always! I especialy liked the texture on the walls. I like everything about it thus far, but the lighting could use a little more work IMHO. Maybe some more shadows?

Well my lighting in general is usually piss-poor.
I avoid halo spots like the plague now, ive tried using them time and time again in stuff and i tend to get weird spots where the halo crosses a lighter area and turns almost black. Ehh…
So i just dont use the bloody things

I was replying a few minutes ago to the same effect, that it resembles a stairway that I know, but I had a power surge or something. Anyway, it reminds me of a stairway in West Berlin, where I stayed with a bunch of crazy anarchists in an unrestored building that was full of bomb holes and rubble. Looks really nice.

The glow is photoshop post. I just made the light “panels” shadeless white and snagged them with the magic wand tool in photoshop, filled with yellow/white and added a glow filter.
