Star Wars Lightsaber (nodes)

Hello guys, I’m trying to create a lightsaber with Nodes instead of halo’s but i am having 2 problems… the first one is that when i render the blade stays solid white like usual and the 2nd one is that the colour isn’t working properly either i am following the only tutorial i could find using nodes for a lightsaber.

Pics of my model.

i don’t know about the color problem, maybe you could try changing the color of the blade object.
with the render problem did you select the use nodes button ? everything else looks like it should render just fine

It’s very difficult to see what’s going on with your nodes in those images. Can you please post an image with the nodes separated out more or just post the blend (preferred).

I fixed it i think i hadn’t set “Do Composite” on in the scene tab.
