How many of you here like Star Wars? Considering the main purpose of this forum I figured there would be a pretty big fellow geeky/nerd type person turnout. I’m starting to buy the soundtracks in sequence form i-tunes, so far I have Episode I and II. (Of course I have all 3 LOTR tracks on CD… )When I get really good at Blender I think I want to render a short metaphorical movie, a lightsaber duel between Darth Vader and Anakin symbolizing his internal struggle between the light side and the dark side. (Hey, it’s something to work towards.) Also, if ya got any what’s your favorite Star Wars Blender render?

I am a big fan of star wars. The movies are great but the books are what really got me into it. Episode III is the best imo. Ep. I was tacky beyond words (except the amazing darth maul fight) and episode II was pretty cheezy in some parts too (like c3-po hanging onto that flying thing in the factory and padme falling out of that flying military transport and jumping up.) I used to have the star wars database on starwars.com memorized but I have gotten kind of busy lately and havent had alot of time for it these days.

yeah how old are you? hello, i’m here to take back my starwars toy from your almost infant childs cluching hands, i dont care if he crys for hours i need that toy back so i can finish acting out episode 5, alone in my bedroom…by myself…alone. i dont care if its a toy i said I NEED IT BACK…DAMN!!! GIVE ME MY TOY!!! GIVE ME MY TOY!!! damn shame…
back on topic i just watched the cartoon network animation series attack of the clones, those were pretty damn amazing, i didnt like it when i first saw it, but i was really impressed when i went back and watched it again, really amazing animation, story, and character/setting design!
I voted Darth cause hes the one of the coolest badguys ever But my fav Star Wars character would probably be Wedge Antilles… Or Corran Horn, or any awesome character in the Rogue Squadron series. Those were the best books

I LOVE Star Wars, and although I kinda guessed that a lot of Blenderites would also like it, its great to know that I’m not the only person out there that likes it. (Oh, to make matters worse, I am a girl, and girls liking Star Wars is a no no) At school, If I even mention Star Wars, everyone turns around and gives me the evil eye for even thinking such nerdy thoughts. Ah well…for my favorite character I would say:

People critisize you just because you’re a girl and you like Star Wars? Geez! I think it’s AWESOME that there are female Star Wars fans out there. (Wonder how many female LOTR fans there are…) The geek connotation is because a lot of Star Wars fans are and always will be computer geeks and techie freaks. I mean come on, whats more techie than lightsabers and a battlestation that can blow up an entire planet?
