static animation

does anybody know how to make an IPO for static particles.
I want to animate the force X,Y, and Z to simulate wind.

As far as I know it is only possible to give the force strength and falloff an ipo directly. Do this by pressing “i” with the cursor over the particle buttons.

To animate the x,y and z forces you would have to use a texture and animate the texture which makes things quite a bit more difficult to control. Take a look at:

Don’t forget that you can have several particle emitters all with different x,y and z forces three or four would probably do and by keying the force and falloff have one die off while another increases increases in strength. I don’t believe there is anything in the new version on this.
