Status updates?

Hopefully this is the right place to ask this question.

I am working on an animation and have Blender rendering on a computer in a remote location from my office. It would be nice if I could somehow be notified when the render is complete, etc.

My thought was somehow having Twitter tweet status updates using the Windows Dos text lines as tweets. But I have no idea how to do this or how to setup any kind of notification system. Does anyone have suggestions or any ways to help me with this?

I would really appriciate it!

Id start by checking out the Twitter API and python builtin modules like email and http.x

I would Love to see this also. I’ve been try to get Dalai’s script ( blenderecia.orgfree.com ) to work, but you have to use netrender in 2.5x

It would be fantastic to have a user friendly tweet/email/sms window in blender, where you can just enter your username/pw and that’s it. I’m just a dumb artist, please don’t force me to learn programming.
