This is one of the games I have been working on… let me know what you guys think.
I know that this is a prototype. But from my perspective, I have no idea what’s going on except for the fact it’s a First person shooter. The environment looks cluttered and the textures are messy. There were some indication that you were being attacked, but due to the chaotic environment, I can’t tell who assaulted you as the player and from where. You might need to take a step back and figure out how you can make this less cluttered. Two more things I need to add. There’s Screen Recording Software now that you can use to record what you are doing on your PC. You will have to find one for Ubuntu OS. Also, try posting this in the WIP Games thread to get more feed back.
Well, I agree, It’s a little cluttered but plays well, I’m working on so many projects right now, but have some Ideas on how to fix it, but might never get there… but other than that, the enemies are sort of camouflaged and some have a short delay before they appear, its a fast furious game-play and really fun from what others who have tested it with me can attest to. I didn’t get far in this video and theres a grappling hook and other enemies and pickups…I just don’t feel I have the time to show everything now, Better to later… and I don’t want to give too much away, someone could rip it off. The color is a little off, with the screen recording software and my system in the past there were problems of lag. So I just wanted to spark some interest for now. Thanks for the input.
I get the confidentiality situation. Perhaps there was a resolution issue on the recording since I didn’t see the enemies at all. Good luck on the project.
You don’t even need to drag your machine down with video recording software nowadays. It’s a hand sized box that plugs into your PC’s HDMI output and records 60fps at 1080p Works very well. Good luck with the game BTW. I managed to work out what was going on during your 3rd attempt.
I’m curious about the bot, someday when I update this computer maybe standard screen capture can handle it.
