Sticking objects with particles


How can I stick objects with shapes of my choice (on a model designed by me), on the parts with angles of my choice, very open and very closed through particles?

This reminds me of the Doughnut Tutorial with the sprinkles. The donut tutorials uses particles for the sprinkles on a doughnut, while familiarizing the viewer with other tools in blender. There is also one for 3.0. As far as far as controling the orientation of individual particles maybe Particle Edit mode, or combing the particles.

Does anyone know how to create 3d dirt in the recesses of a mesh with particles?
