Hey guys just popping in again to post in the conclusion of a night and day of blending i had free from work, made with blender composited and colour corrected in Photoshop, clouds and moon were a mix of painting and 3d setup. Phew, havnt blended for myself in too long…

We really don’t see too many of the great Lohn stills these days sigh lol, but this one really doesn’t disappoint! =)
lol, that ninja dude looks ready to kick some serious ass, and if he didn’t seem so sharp, this image would look as if it was completely painted by of course a fabulous painter lol ^^
The only thing I can really say is that the robot is a little too bright, but well, I’m guessing that’s contrast lol (I’m just overly physics based, go artists! ^^) and that the clouds seem a tad dark at the edges, but apart from that drool

awesome work! one crit: I don’t like the background pic - you can see to clearly it’s been filtered in photoshop or gimp. apart fromt this: great work - superb modeling.
Nice render, and the compositing is good, but I would take the clouds and feather the edge some more. Good work though, I really like the feel, and the modelling is good too.

Smerity: thanks man, honored ppl enjoy my stuff. As for brightness, i would have had it much darker, problem being seeing it all right, and ofcourse some moniters are brighter then others, so its quite difficult to know who will have what brightness, thus i made it a tad easier to see for those ppl with sunny days 
i wil continiue working on it all to see what results i get.
@ner: thanks, the background ‘pic’ is painted, i did had one fiter to try and roughen it up, im only just starting to learn how to draw/paint sorry im not up to scratch, this is a practice, i have always wanted drawing skills to go with my 3d
Modron: yeah once again the clouds are a try at something new i havnt tried before, and for the way i wanted the still i didnt want the clouds and moon to have too much presence, so i tried to mess around with how much detail to give them, i guess ill have a crack next time and improve, thanks for the input =)
This still clearly has ways to go, i will work on it and update it. =)

Not sure I like the clouds though. The character and the rooftop look very nice and clean. The clouds and sky are very painterly and it seems to detract from the image some, IMO.
I do really like the peice though.

I like this one quite a bit more, the clouds in this one appear to be more "wisp"ish if you know what I mean, like fairy floss 
and every time I see that robot, I swear he’s going to leap off into the mid air, cold restless night, and come straight down, sword in hand, on an unbeknown security guard =)
With this man, I wouldn’t mind sitting on that digital roof and staring out at the clouds, stars, and moon… Then again, having a giant fighting robot behind me with a really long sword, and being on the roof isn’t altogether a good idea =)
Anyway, I love it =)
