hello there, i hope someone out there can help me out of this struggle.
i am trying to make a simple scene where a drop of water falls into a bowl of water and creates a ripple. i don’t know why this is so difficult to do. i’ve been working on blender for a good three weeks now but i just can’t get the fluid simulation working to my liking.
when i create the necessary bowl, domain, fluid material and inflow for the drips, my fluid crashes into itself and swishes all around for the entirety of the clip. i’d like for it to stay still, like a real bowl of water, but it collapses into itself. when i assign a shape to fluid why does it collapse into itself and lose it’s designated form? it seems i’ve tried everything but i just can’t get this to work properly. does anyone know of a way to make a designated fluid stay still so that a drop of water, or several drops, can fall into it and create ripples?
i’ve spent the better half of a weekend already trying to get this thing to work. thanks for any replies!
