*.stl and texture

Hi :smiley:
I have an .stl file- a scan of an object, and I would like to have a texture on it. I imported it to Blender, so that I could do something with it. I know, I can’t save it as another .stl, because it will cause a loss of the texture… Does anyone know how to save this file, so that it would still be a textured 3d object?
