Stone Texture Test

Just wondering what people thought of this so far? This texture will eventually go on rocks on another scene sitting next to a lake:

I dunno… The UV mapping on the Suzanne head is kinda bad, which makes it hard to see with any detail, but what I mainly see are small procedural textures, this isn’t good. Try and break it up with voronoi noise and other things, or–even better, get an image map. Still, though, for the purposes of a procedural texture, the actual shader usage is kinda woogy too, it looks shiny and lambertian, like you didn’t change the default properties at all.

That and the lighting, the lighting could use a little work. If you’re interested in improving any of these points, there are some good tutorials out there, and I recommend the mediawiki for any technical points.
