Stone texture

i got a small picture of a stone texture
i loaded that image onto the stone column i made and it looks like the image is being stretch from one end to the other

is there a way to simply repeat the small image on each face of the column?

yeah when you add the texture into the textures panel add an image texture hit load and find you picture
after that there will be a place under the load button it says repeat just crank it up on the yand x axis

i added a few in X

but one thing is that we see a repetition pattern
is there a way to reduced this effect look at picture
