I need a plane subsurfed, but I don’t want the edges to be beveled. When I bring loop cutting into the mix to straighten it, it always makes my blender go buggy. Also simple subdivision doesn’t really work in this situation, as I don’t want blockiness when the plane gets hit by wind, any tips appreciated, thanks!
That is a bit of an ambiguous description. A picture of what you are trying to do would help.
In the mean time,
-
don’t loop cut with subsurf on
-
for cloth simply take the plane and subdivide it several times, then add the subsurf modifier. That will keep the plane square and give you an even subdivision which is what you want for cloth.
thanks! I’ll try that.
