Stranded

Such a fun project to work on. I added a lot of fake lights into the scene to add more visual interest and light up a few areas. Fake lights are any type of light that are not visible in the camera and they don’t cast light on volumetrics. Big shoutout to @Felicia_White for creating the procedural moths geo node set up. It’s available for grabs on her patreon here.
A quick clay render of the entire scene

Made 2 versions but decided to go with the last one for the final post.

Like always, this piece also has some Easter Eggs. In this one, there are 4 Easter Eggs. They’re generally living things that are not the main focus. This means the yellow cat in the middle of the frame does not count as an Easter Egg. I’ll have the full reveal posted in the comments below. Have fun searching!

nice works as always, though why add easter eggs? is it just for fun or to make the render more interesting ?

I FINALLY FOUND 'EM ALL!:partying_face::partying_face: which is ironic, because I took one look at this dark and moody (and beautiful) environment and immediately despaired for my chances of finding anything :joy:

Found the leftmost hidden animal and shouted its name loud enough to wake my dog. XD

Also…yeah. I am way too proud of myself for finding a 3D chicken.:rofl:

Pretty sure it’s all for fun, dude. 'Cause the renders are interesting enough on their own. :slightly_smiling_face:

Also, viewer/audience participation of this type is pretty cool, and not a lot of artists do this kind of thing. Which is a shame, because it’s actually not a bad way to engage with fans. XD

Thanks! That’s a really good question. It’s a way of letting people have fun not just by enjoying the art but by also finding them or stress about it :joy:.

But it’s also a way to get people to see all the details I spent hours on.

Ahaha exactly! I love to see all the struggles and reactions of people who tried to find all the easter eggs. I’ve gotten a lot of positive feedback from adding them in my artworks so I’m gonna keep doing it for sure.
