I’d say that confidence is not easily transferable to others. I didn’t find the OP rude, though.

Also, many people read this posts, and you are probably helping the general public, not just one. If your help or other’s is appreciated or not shouldn’t make us particularly uncomfortable, it takes more time for some people to feel reassured, secure or confident.

I thank you here. To which degree your efforts helped the OP shouldn’t bother you much, I’d say. If the OP didn’t find it completely useful it’s up to the OP. You did your part. And it’s a nice thing to do.

Blender has used mirrors for a long time, you just did not notice it to be honest

Hmmm… :thinking: you are totally right (i just checked)… therefore “AFAIK”… maybe because the download starts immediately and there is no “noticable” redirection (like really opening another website)… also maybe because i have a relatively fast interent connection (which got even faster).

I just mentioned at another place: Our perception is based on assumption… :smile_cat:
