Just wanted to let the admins know I received a private message today from a user called “Maser” that signed up in December with the message “Hi, r u there?”. That user has never posted any messages either.
Sounds a bit fishy to me. Could you check it out, please? He/she probably sent these to more BlenderArtists users.

I got it as well (maybe he targets the more active users). There’s no embedded links or images, so I don’t think there might be any major security risk.
However, it might just be safe to not respond to him (or it), it might be a bot for all we know.

If you receive a suspicious PM, you can report it to the moderation team like you can report regular posts.
