is there any way to turn streaming video (Real) into an mpeg or avi of some sort?
or any screen grabber programs, free preferrably

real usually caches it’s streams, find those files and you ought to be able to play them back
I have seen quick time do the same, and windows media player
however the files created by windows media player don’t seem to be playable if taken out of the cache.

thanks for your post, but it’s in the form of an *.smil file, which I do not know how to convert to mpeg or avi.
Windows Media Encoder from microsoft can create a video file from most sources, but i dont know if it does it to those file types.
A cool feature of WME is that you can stream your own internet radiostations.

thanks!
