I am working on a small car racing game, called Street Racer. You basicaly use a Chevy Blazer and race on a track (or tracks). I might include more cars, but for now, I’m sticking with a blazer.
Thanks to tb1alexc and eb264 to help set up the car physics and do the programing.
Or even better, search here in the forums for the muscle car, it’s an advanced version of the simple car template (it has better felling since the rear and front wheels where set up with different status), it also has manual gears.
This game is no longer called Strt Honda, but Street Racing. Below is the main car I am using, a Chevy Blazer. I didn’t make the model, and I edited the texture.
Well I wasn’t saying to copy everything from it, only taking a look on the script and logic setup, try deleting the piece of code that refers to sound, witch in my case makes my pc go bluescreen. If it doesn’t work, try checking up the “Checkpointracer” game, it has the same setup ^^
I like the checkpoint racer game but I don’t want to steal his work.
I mean the code for the car, for it’s physics, it’s also based on a muscle car template with is based on the original car template made by Erwin (a pruple car with blue wheels), but quite better.
Actually most cars around work using the car setup included in blender with is the one Erwin made (as I think it is, if I’m wrong sorry), the bigget difference are the properties given to the wheels, or in the case of the muscle car, the relationship between the front and back wheels that make it fell a little more better.
Oh well, this is only my opinion ^^
Alright, thanks. I don’t like the preformance in the mussle car one, it turns automatclly to the left when you drive, and it goes slow. I like the preformance of the one at tutorialsforblender3d.com better.
