Stringing a guitar?

Hey guys! My first post here :slight_smile:

Well, I’ve been using Blender for a little while since its free and super powerful, and I’ve been working on a guitar model.

Right now, I’ve got most everything done except for putting the strings on . . . How would I do this? I could use simple cylinders, but I think this would look poor, and I want to animate it later . . . Also, cylinders won’t wrap around the tuning heads . . .

I’ll try to get a picture up here if I can figure this board out . . .

Hi samoz3, and welcome to blenderartists! You may want to try using bezier curves. Place the curve, then use a bezier circle as the curve’s BevOb property. Hopefully that works, and it makes it more flexible!
