Studio set up visualization for the furniture

The idea behind this duo-piece render was to emulate a real-world ready-to-use studio setup environment where I can drop the desired piece of furniture and just render. I am planning to create a few more small-scale scenes for the same purpose. Which one do you prefer?"

Edit:

Thanks,

Good job. The second looks best imo. :slightly_smiling_face:

Both pieces look pretty good.
In my eyes the second image looks more appealing. The background looks cleaner and drives the eyes straight forward to the chair.

In the first one the line between the floor and the background - in this position - distracts me from the main object. But it’s a more interesting background - in my opinion - its not the usual.
I don’t know… Maybe changing the perspective somehow could be better, for example: you could bring the chair a bit close to the background and put the cam in a taller position. I am trying to think in a way to bring the line between the background and the floor close to the bottom portion of the feet of the chair.

I’m not the best one with english. I hope you understand me…

Thanks for your insight. To be honest that background line starting to bother me too :slight_smile: I will try to bring it down and see how it looks.

@Kyrie

After making a few adjustments, I realized that if I want to stick to the current setup, which has the backdrop line somewhat not too high or too low yet still adjusting, my only option is to slightly rotate the camera on the Y-axis. Then, I get the camera higher, which is more pleasant to my eye. I also had to change the light direction in order to maintain the falling shadow. Because my backdrop is initially closer to the chair, it catches the shadow a lot faster, and then it bends halfway through, which is not nice to my eye. A lot of tinkering for such a small change, though. Now, I have admiration for the professionally used light source by photographers. It takes skill to do it right. So here is my take.

Oh, yeah! That’s a cool image!
In my opinion, a very good improvement. The way you’ve setup the lighting was very clever. It creates a nice falloff in the background line. Now that line is not distracting me anymore.
Very good! Very good!
