I just wanted to annouce that after much delay, Stunt Playground 2.0 has finally been officially released. have a look at the game screens below, and then feel free to give the game a download!
Stunt Playground is a fully 3D stunt driving game for the windows PC. the game features extremely realistic physics that are fully integrated into both the driving, and the editor as well. this means you can arrange the various props and jumps in any way imaginable. of course you can save and load your creations for later as well.
While driving you can also record “instant replays” up to 15 seconds in length, and then playback your stunt from any angle. you can even save/load these replays, so your friends will believe you!
The game features impressive 3D graphics including realtime shadows and reflections.
all models done in Blender obviously, the 3D graphics are done using the open source OGRE 3D. The physics were done with the (free) Newton Game Dynamics physics SDK. sound was done with FMOD. the game itself was coded in C++.
Yet again a perfect examlpe of a wrong kind of comment… If the game doesn’t work on your computer you think it must be trash then? Obviously you don’t know what it takes to make a game. At least you could appreciate the job someone else has done no matter how trash it is. You don’t have to say that it is trash. Just give some advice how to improve it. ( Note: I’m not saying tha this game is not trash cause I havent even got the chance to test it yet… ) I am a game developer so I know what I am talking about. I’m no wannabe guy since I have already been two years into this stuff and I have been in numerous fallen projects and succesfull ones also. Yes I am a freelancer but that doesn’t mean that I haven’t got any money from this job. Yes indeed I have made some good amounts of money and some nice friends also. But enough of that… Just keep your poor comments to your self since you don’t even know how to write english properly…
Great game, my two boys and I love it. We played it for a while this weekend. I guess that guys just like to crash things. The only real crit that I have is that the steering is a bit jumpy. That and the fact that the 4x4 truck has the highest top end speed (a little weird).
Any plans to add more props or vehicles? Where are you going with this or is it complete?
