I’ve found a new hobby: Listening to what people say and taking notes of stupid things they say. I usually do it at school, where there’s a huge abundance of things people say (!). Anybody got any stupid quotes? I’ll put a few links up soon.

I was on a bus and happened to be sittiing on my newspaper. Another man approached me and asked if I was reading it. I said yes, stood up, turned the page and sat back down.
But first some background you need to know for this one:
daFei is a member of the Java forums, who I would compare in knowledge and annoyance levels to CubeFan, but it wouldn’t be fair to CF (no exaguration :o )
But rather than start rants, he heads down to the advanced language topics and answers people’s questions - badly.
Some things you might want to know:
- if you see “s” as a word, read “ass” - he believes “ass” is not a word, and corrects people’s spelling appropriately
- you might need to know at least the basics of Java to get some of the quotes, but not for most of them.
- although most of the quotes seem to be out of context, the majority aren’t, he meant exactly what it says.
the latest thread he’s hijacked is currently around 240 posts and growing, in which he’s trying to convince us that the nice fast and efficient primitives are wrapped in slower clunky objects by the Java interpereter, a belief he holds from a misreading of a joking post near the start of the thread - and rather than admit he’s wrong he’ll go on and on about it, ignoring all the posts that prove he’s wrong.
Sorry, this post seens to have turned into a rant
