Stylized Animated Waterwheel (2D/hand drawn style)

Based on a shot by The Line Animation Studio- https://www.instagram.com/thelineanimation/
I wanted to try and replicate their specific, hand-drawn style in Blender, turned out decent. I see a lot of areas for improvement but it’s not bad for how much time I spent on it (a few hours)
Rendered in Eevee

This is a good, clean, uncluttered representation of the essential concept of an undershot water wheel direct-driving … I guess that’s a generator or alternator? Nothing in there except the minimum needed to clearly convey the idea. :+1:

thank you! uncluttered is what I was going for, the source I based it off of had a ton of vegetation and stuff really crowding up the view. It was pretty but I really wanted to focus on fundamentals here.

I’m not 100% sure what the mechanism is, since it’s just a 3D version of the original, but if I had to guess, I would say alternator. I could also see it as a regulator, using stored momentum to convert a variable speed to a constant speed, but I’m not an engineer at all
