Hello, I have a question regarding a reconstruction of an animation of the Guardians laser shot from The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild. How would you recreate this laser shot in Blender? I have added a small clip to the post, but the shot is redirected back here, which I don’t need. I tried this in the shader editor but I don’t know what the best way is.
I’m absolutely no gameFX-guy and i’m always amazed how things are done there… but i guess this is a plane faced to the camera at the target and also one between target at shooter:
Even the blue glare is not really on the surface of the environment but more “in camera”… only in the last row while the explosing starts to happen this is more a geometry based effect since it starts to reflect onto the surface of the ares (orange glow)… and also “evolves” from orange to red glow and then black smoke…
