Stylized workflow tips

My general hair workflow is 80% bake, 20% hand paint.
Manually dissolving edges takes me significantly less time than baking HP over LP because I’ll have to fix many things + potato PC will not handle it well.
Whoever has tips or critiques to the workflow, is welcomed

I assume it is UV unwrapped; can you use pre-made normal map texture with ridges instead of baking?
