SubSurf in game engine

Instead of subsurfing, you could just select your object, turn on the level of subsurfing you want on the object, and then hit alt + c to convert the subsurf mesh to a regular mesh.(You might end up with more verts than you’d want to use in the GE, though) This doesn’t exactly answer your question, but it is a possibility, so I thought I’d say it anyway. Hope this helps.
