SubSurf Modifier pulles back one part of the new surface to the original Edge

Hi @all,
I’m modelling an eye and since it’s one of my first “serious” projects i decided to model just the rough shape and then use SubSurf to make it smooth. The modelling in general was no problem at all, but now i tried the SubSurf Modifier and it work quite well, execpt for some parts of my model where it pulls back the generated surface to the original edge.
I’ve attached one screenshot from the outside and one from the inside of the model.
On the pictures you can see just one example of many on this model

I hope you can help me.
If you need additional information, please ask and i will try to provide it.

The most important thing you left out, your blend file.

Turn off subsurf and actually check the mesh for any issues (duplicate vertices, disconnected faces, internal faces, non manifold edges, ngons etc etc)

In addition to that, for a correct result with the subsurf modifier, you should use only square faces and avoid triangles and N-gons.

Solved the problems, i had a few double vertecies and a few inline edges without faces
but thanks for your quick help
