Full disclosure; They are DAZ mesh and textures. It’s easier to dig in and explore the more technical aspects of Blender, when I’m not distracted by my own failed artworks.
I’m curious why the subsurface scattering previews are so blown out. The mesh is ~4’ tall, figuring 1 blender unit = 1 meter. It’s just the ‘Skin 1’ preset, scaled down to get away from the waxiness, and weighted toward the texture. The render seems to be in the ballpark of what I expect, but the material previews make me think I’m doing something wrong.
