Subsurf Preview (internal)

Full disclosure; They are DAZ mesh and textures. It’s easier to dig in and explore the more technical aspects of Blender, when I’m not distracted by my own failed artworks. :slight_smile:

I’m curious why the subsurface scattering previews are so blown out. The mesh is ~4’ tall, figuring 1 blender unit = 1 meter. It’s just the ‘Skin 1’ preset, scaled down to get away from the waxiness, and weighted toward the texture. The render seems to be in the ballpark of what I expect, but the material previews make me think I’m doing something wrong.
