Subsurface Scattering Reflects Poorly

I’ve noticed a problem with subsurface scattering, it seems to reflect pretty badly in a mirror shaded object. The reflection is perfect when I turn off SSS, but when I turn it back on, the same issue arises again.

I’d like to be able to use SSS with the mirror object, so if anyone knows a solution to this problem, I would appreciate some help.
