Just a suggestion, the new hair stuff is really great but I’m having a bit of trouble modelling the hair. The curve guides are ok, but I had an idea for another type of guide that might be quicker and easier to use in some situations.
Instead of using multiple curve guides, you could use a plane and have the hair travel in the V direction of the UV coordinates. You could use vertex weights to control the density/thickness/depth of the hair at any point in the planes 2D space. You could also subdivide the mesh and apply a subdivision modifier and do subD modelling…
Unfortunately I’m not a C++ coder so I can’t do it, but to those of you who are does it sound like something that might be doable?
