It would be nice to have top bar auto-hide when scrolling down and then appear again when scrolling up. I’m saying this because when the page is zoomed to let’s say 150% or more it takes an unnecessary big portion of the screen IMO.
I don’ think this is a great idea as the top bar contains essential information and navigation.
Sure, I agree about information, but when scrolling down or reading a post you don’t need that info, not that big anyway. And when you do, all you need is one scroll up on mouse wheel or one slide up on mobile. It is pretty common behavior for nav-bars on so many websites.
IMO advantage is the bigger screen for reading and much cleaner look overall.
