Can the sunsky atmosphere effect from blender internal also be used in Cycles?

The results shown in the link above from the Turbidity parameter are what i’m interrested in. I cant recreate the results in Cycles.
In Cycles I’m using a sky texture and sun lamp. The sky texture in Cycles has a Turbidity parameter but it only effects the sky (background) objects in the background dont fade to a blue hue like the examples in the link above.
Can anybody give me some advice, I’ve only recently been experimenting with Cycles.
