SURVEY: How much does the average person know about space?

Man what is it with this guy and being obsessed with debates. You’ve been here for like 2 days and pretty much all you seem to do is debate AI and now argue semantics?
I try to give people online the benefit-of-the-doubt but it’s seriously difficult to believe your whole “physics and an astrophysics degree” when you have the “know-it-allness” of a 12 year old. :upside_down_face:

Sure?

Given a m³ of same particle count of reddish Betelgeuse’s (α Ori’s) and blueish Rigel A’s (β Ori A’s) surface, I would guesstimate Rigel’s were more “heavy” than Betelgeuse’s simply bc.

Well! It is more that you @BlenderTimer try to brag with your 12-year-old’s poor understanding of astrophysics.

FYI – it takes some studies and occasionally a look through a telescope to get that right. Even some more studies and some more looks mebbe.

Please bring it down a notch or two, this is being taken far too seriously and personally

Sure, @joseph, but why would any physical layman like @BlenderTimer feel entitled to lecture others about astrophysics?

I have no prob with laymen – or experts – being in error, but questioning and trying to lecture others with that faulty layman perception has a different quality, does it not?

I wasn’t talking to you personally, I was making a general observation. I was not, however, extending an invitation to discuss that observation. This conversation needs to be more civil and personal, no further discussion needed

Who asked for your “invitation”?

Ok, if you want to do things that way, enjoy your one-week timeout
