im thinking of doing a BA (hons) in 3D computer animation next year at swansea institute, im (hopefully) moving down to swansea soon so itll be the easiest place to get to. anyway i was just wondering if anyone here has been or knows anyone who has studied this course there?
also if there are any CG artists from that area?
Come visit me in Portsmouth. I studied Computer Animation but don’t expect much as it is a course for n00bs. The cool thing is that you get a grounding in traditional animation and usage of techniques like squash & stretch.
Is this the swansea in mass? My wife has family up there. Pretty town really boring though…but hell I come from the city so it’s almost a given that I’d be bored there!

Genjix: a grounding in traditional animation sounds pretty good to me, really what im in need of is getting the basics and having the time to produce animations that i can show to potential employers. even if the courses dont cover modeling and the rest in great detail im not to fussed. have you got any examples of animations or work that you produced on the course?
HouseArrest: heh it didnt seem that boring when i was down there, my gf lives there so i dont think ill be to bored :eyebrowlift:. also its near a beach that looks quite good for surfing! its swansea in wales by the way.

Well I’m from Crystal Space and there’s 3 others of us close by. I also have sleeping space in my house (on sofa, floor .etc)- is no problem.
