Google only finds old stuff from 2003ish
Thanks for helping

Thank you for that link (I’ll check it out right away)
Different “thing” … what window manager is best for blender (I have troubles with selecting because “right-clicking” pops up a menu related to the WM in Linux)
Thanks
For Gnome it’s really Metacity that’s the best window manager available. Afaik there’s a way to get rid of annoying and unwanted things in the gconf options (gconf-editor, look for metacity).
Can’t remember anything about pop ups when right clicking though…
Thats odd. I’m also running 6.10 and I don’t have such problems. Right-clicking works as expected.
What is the menu that appears when you rigth-click in Blender? Is it the same what pops up when you right-click on desktop?
Ubuntuist,
yes it is. I’m trying different wimdow managers at the moment to see what gives. Maybe I’ll try a “newer” blender version.
Thanks for all the help, this is great! I’m converting my laptop (again) tomorrow if I have a bit of time
I think it is a place to show your design mockups… Basicly just pictures of how people wanted things to work… Correct me if I’m wrong :eyebrowlift2:
hi guys,
I still am not able to pinpoint why my rightclick (combined with the Alt key) pops up the window manager right click menu which means that I can’t select as when running blender in XP.
So …
what window manager are the Linux users using? I don’t mind switching to KDE or what ever would solve the problem.
My distro is Ubuntu.
Thanks for helping
Ah, you meant Alt + rigthclick. That pops up window menu for me too. (I’ve never tried to use that before)
Anyway, I found a way to disable it in Metacity. Go to the System -> Windows and set Movement key to to Super. That fixed it for me,
Hope That helps!
