Synced replay?

I am working on matching some animation up to audio, but have a problem. Having audio on while replaying the animation in the 3D View window causes a drop in fps. Sadly, Blender then slows everything down, insisting on showing every frame, rather than skip frames to stay synced with the audio. So audio plays at normal rate, animation at much slower.
Is there a way to make it drop frames to keep pace instead?

Timeline viewport, “Playback” dropdown -> “No Sync” dropdown.

THANK YOU!!! I should’ve asked in here months ago, what a fool I was!!!

Actually you would want A/V sync in that same drop down.
