Hi guys
I have a macbook pro and a linux PC. I share a drive over the network from the PC to the macbook on which I store add-ons and assets. How can I make sure linux Blender is using the same add-ons and assets as the mac Blender? Or is the only way to re-install everything on linux Blender?
Hello, I use synthing to sync my blender assets across computers.
And I have my own addon that sets up preferences, sets my addon path, sets my repositories and my template etc.
You could also sync your 5.x folder across computers with syncthing.

Upgrading from 4.3 to 4.4 or whatever caused problems after a while because of duplicated keymaps. But the rest worked fine for me. I just had to properly uninstall addons, not just deleting them from the addon folder. Dis not know that back then. So if you rename your 5.1 folder to 5.2 you should be fine mostly.
