Tablet and hardware needed.

Hi guys,

I used to be a Blender user for hobby, but now I’m focusing in my professional career, so I kinda abandoned this forum and blender. Anyway, I’m here to ask for informations about tablets (like wacom tablets or any other) and what hardware I need to make it work in a simple workflow (my brother are starting to make drawings, so I’d like to gift him this new year with a tablet as a way to encourage him to make digital paintings in the future).

So, having in mind that my brother has no experience with digital painting and not much knowlegment in drawings, what tablet and what kind of hardware do I have to buy for him? Any recomendations or tips, youtube channels or anything related?

Thanks,
Victor.

Let him start with pen and paper.

Proko on youtube has great anatomy tutorials.

Andrew Price has talked on bcon 2016 about his path to drawing good.

Make him understand that he has to draw every day to become good. To draw stuff that will develop his skills.

Once he becomes better at drawing then buy him a tablet.

A Microsoft Surface is a great start.
