I have character with tail-like appendages. I want them to react to the movements of the body. In the past, I would animate them by hand. Is there a spring like constraint that will allow me to do this? I want to have. Them affected by body movement and gravity. I would also like to tweak the stiffness of them. Thanks.


I saw this done by a member named intrr, who has not been around for awhile. It was a long time ago, but I think it may have had something to do with IK targets that were set to have a certain ammount of lag, like a ‘slow parent’ relationship.
(edit) intrr was a proficient coder and developer, so there may have been some python involved.
