I’ve been wondering about something recently. I know that with Bevob you can make tubing. The thing is what If I want to have a tube that has different ID/OD (interior and exterior diameter) and kind of bevels like a funnel shape. Bevob does not seem to be the most efficient way to do this. Is there any other way to do this, or must it be done by making several curves, assigning a new bevob to each, conerting to mesh, then attaching to maybe a funnel shape I made out of extruding circles?
I don’t know about doing it with curves, but the way i have been making tapered curved shapes is by extruding out a circle from another circle, placing it some distance away, scaling it down, then just loop cutting it a few times, and manually positioning the new loops into a curved configuration.
Yes, Modron.
And if you would like to do this with NURBS, you would later skin (loft) a bunch of scaled and manipulated curves.
-Create > Surface > NURBS Circle
Create the first circle, duplicate, move, transform, duplicate…
-Join all objects (if not already) with Control J
-Select the verts in edit mode
-F to skin.
-Adjust the resolution and convert to mesh (Alt C) in needed for rig.
