The distant rumble of empty space and crackle of shifting rocks are pierced by a mechanical whine as a strange automaton struggles to move rusted joints and turn to face you.

Created for Andrew’s “Dreamland” competition. Textures, lighting, and render done in Cycles with heavy compositing in Blender, and some minor post-work in Photoshop.

This was a really fun project, it’s always nice when an artwork turns out pretty close to the original concept. :slight_smile:
