Tea party

Hi Guys,
Haven’t been doing anything Blender-focused since posting my last image here. Been busy using Blender to import ZBrush sculpts. So I thought I’d post a slightly older image, one I did just before the spiral staircase.
All modelled in Blender, of course, and rendered in Indigo 1.0.3.
Let me know what you think.

very nice!

Well indigo renders are… always Indigo renders… But this is very nice… top noch really… only one thing is bothering me… it looks like the reflection of one of the cups on the side of the teapot is distorted… distorted geometry or… dunno… looks odd.

Thanks guys.

Eradicor: You’re right about that. There is a very slight bump map applied to the pot and cups to create some unevenness in the surface - kind of a hand-made look…

I think the leather texture is too big for the cups and pot. Or vise versa. Makes them look a little micro IMO.
Aprat from that of course, top notch.

FloorPlay: Actually, looking at it again, I think you might be right about that… :frowning:

The idea about making some …randomization,… on the reflections is good… but i think this is bit overdone… Maybe downscale the bumpmap?

Eradicor: I can try that. Either tile the bump map more or reduce the intensity.

Actually, pretty much everything here is bump-mapped, including the handle (totally invisible, though) and the tray (visible if you look closely at the reflections of the cups).

neat…wht was the render time?

Very, very nice work  And yeah like anuraag mentionned, how long was the render time?

oho…nice subtle DoF

I like it alot.

Thanks guys for the feedback. This rendered overnight (perhaps 8-10 hours), on my quad at 2400x1800 pixels. There was a tiny bit of noise left but the downsampling got rid of it.
