I’ll download this when I get home.
Your tuts are the best on this board I’ve seen.
I always go “Mkay?” for a while afterwards

i guess i didn’t have the FFmpeg codec. Thanks for that - very interesting tutorial  I’ll have to give it a shot

This codec should do it: http://www.free-codecs.com/download/FFDShow.htm

thank you, i have been looking for a version that worked all morning

Excellent tutorial, thank you very much GreyBeard!
Works perfect with FFDShow and BSPlayer.

Great tutorial. Loved it. Went ahead and watched your subsurfing one also.

Keep up the wonderful work.

your tutorials are so good
please cane you help us with a car modeling tutorial

doesn’t play in QT 7.1.2 or VLC, i’m on OSX.
so now what?

Jack

It’s the divx codec try “divx mac” in google.

GreyBeard

@Greybeard, i had a DivX codec, installed a new one but it still doesn’t work.
Included is a screenshot of the info in QT, seems to me there is something wrong with the file.I tried several downloads.

I don’t know anything about macs. I seems to think its a mpeg 1 – All I can suggest is to try changing the file extension.

GreyBeard

GreyBeard, wonderful tutorial. I suspect it’s going to be useful for a lot more than telephone cords. Thanks  .

Very useful tutorial, thanks. To get it to play video and sound on a Mac I changed the extension to avi, then had to use ffmpegx to save it as DivX and played it with VLC. Hope this helps those with Macs.

Hi, i’m a newbie using Blender 2.46.

When i tried to JOIN the nurb circles, the telephone cord gets “flatten” into 2 dimension.

Please help, thanks.

Great tutorial. It’s “to the point”, relaxing to watch and the content is of a high quality.

Great tutorial!
I just have one suggestion for future video tutorials: consider using osdHotkey or other similar keystroke display program. I find it very usefull in other blender video tuts that I’ve seen.
Best regards,
Jorge
