Well, I have been playing with Blender on and off for six months. This is my first real scene. Inspired by watching Harry Potter.

nice picture and i understand the moonlit idea but use a really dim ao just to give everything a minimum lit value. Nice work - it’s just toooo dark! :wink:

It’s too dark… I think the pic needs some specs too because in the night the specs are what you can make out more easily …

Very dark, but looks good from what I can see. If it looks bright enough on your monitor you may want to consider googling on how to calibrate the brightness and gamma of your monitor properly (this page is pretty informative).

Thanks B01C, md01, Prince. This morning was the first time I looked at this on a CRT. I do all my modelling on a LCD display. I think I will have a look at calibrating the display. On the LCD it is slightly lighter and more detail is visible.
