Terragen .ter editing

Is there any way to load the terragen hightmap into another program for editing? I really need to make some relativly flat areas on the terrain so that I can put a road on the land. It is very hard to do with the built-in editing tools, so I would like to load it into paint or photoshop to manually adjust the areas that I want flatted out.

Any ideas?

In terragen, in the landscaping tools, above the “Generate Terrain” button.

Hit Export. choose “RAW” 8 bits. export.
in Paint Shop Pro some options come up, all you have to do is add the height and width that you exported. Easy. :slight_smile:
