I’m experimenting with creating a terrain shader to simplify creating the base texture for a DEM. Heres my best result so far, I’d be interested to hear feedback from ppl who have tried this before.
My aim is to bake as a texture to use in Unity over a much lower resolution mesh.
Next up is large scale tree and bush placement. Then some manual touchup of the texture to add detail, and overlaying models for roads, signs, benches etc.
