Testing ray traced images

I looked around in the forums and couldn’t find what I was looking for, so I apologize if this is already here.

I’m trying out ray tracing for the first time and was wondering for testing the lighting, materials, reflections, etc…, is there anyway to speed up rendering? I’ve already turned OSA off for testing, but even for a simple image, render times are around 10 minutes. I know this isn’t a big deal for a complex render, but I’m testing and learning, not finalizing an image. Any help will be appreciated.

In camera view, you can hit shift-b to isolate a selection to render.

hope that helps
