Text Outlines

Hey all,

Really really new to blender and I’m working on creating an animation. I have a piece of text and I’m wanting to exchange one of the characters for a shape. In Illustrator, I would ‘create outlines’ and space the text accordingly. Is there something similar to this in Blender?

Thanks for any help,

Joe

Just design the whole thing in Illustrator and Save As an SVG file. Then import the SVG file into Blender.

or you could write the text without the character you want changed, then convert the text to a curve (alt + c in object mode) then go to edit mode, move the letters to create the required space for the extra character, and then use veizer curvers to create it.
