I made a release on github if you want to give things a try.
Note that Blender 3.6.2 is the highest supported until the internal api stabilizes.

awesome stuff. i did notice in 3.6.4 the text wasnt showing up. it was distorted. Trying 3.6.2!
Just tested on 3.6.4 (win10) and it’s working here. Any errors in the console or a screenshot to show the distortion?
Note that Textension is divided into several plugins which are disabled by default. You can enable them in the addon preferences.
I tested it, and it seems nice!
Is there a way to increase the scale of the text?
I didn’t find it in the addon preferences.
I’m on a 4K screen on win10.
Thanks for the heads-up.
Font size should now follow the ui scale. I’ve also exposed a relative font size setting for entries in addon preferences if you need fine tuning.
The work on the addon has done incredible.
The only thing I would like to apply Suggestions like in PyCharm, i.e. by repeatedly pressing Tab instead of Enter. And I’d like to make Suggestions on another button (or always display them automatically).
Adding custom templates could be nice too!
Weel done on the addon ![]()
Sorry I’m not familiar with how pycharm does things. What does repeatedly pressing tab do?
Suggestions overrides the built-in text autocomplete operator. Whatever hotkey it uses will invoke Suggestions completion. I’ll look into ways to make this more convenient.
Now to open the menu of suggestions and fill with the selected text you need to click: Tab → Enter. In PyCharm Tab->Tab, i.e. you don’t need to reach for Enter, it works very fast. Now if you press Tab->Tab, a tooltip is displayed, which is also not bad in principle, but it would be even better if this point could be overridden.
and another thing, in blender 3.5 addon crashes the program, perhaps it is better to raise the minimum requirements to 3.6?
Btypes (the module I use to access internals) has pretty solid versioning all the way from 2.8, except from 3.5.0 specifically, because someone made changes to DNA structures between beta and release and the specific commit isn’t trivial to bisect.
In other words, I know why it happens, I just haven’t put much effort into that specific segment yet. But now I know that people use all kinds of Blender versions ![]()

This is what i keep getting. Tested on 3.6.4 as well.

I updated to v1.0.5 & started to show it better than the prev version.
But then it started glitching. I was thinking maybe it has to do with my cpu?
Here are my specs:
