Texture baking is here!

No, I didn’t write it, I’m just promoting it here in the game engine section (macouno is the author).

This script will bake anything (shadows, radiosity, extra geometry) onto a textured object. I thought it would be extremely useful to bake lighting and shadows onto a game object.

Keep in mind that it is still pretty new, and may still have some kinks to work out (you may have to manually touch up some seams, for instance).

additionally jms wrote a new version of his texture baker that does not scale or change the offset of the output, so it lines up perfectly with the exsisting UV coords. i think it just dropped off the front page, so shouldn’t be too hard to find. i tested it, and though i experienced some initial confusion, it does do exactly what it is supposed to do.
